Raptor Head CanonsThough the raptors’ names are in order of the phonetic alphabet, Owen has a reason for naming each of the main four raptors what he did. Blue was, obviously, named for her blue streak. Charlie was named after Owen’s sister, who's personality is very similar to Charlie the raptor. Delta's name came from the geography term, which refers to wetlands that form at the mouth of a river, and due to her green color, and her avian DNA, Owen felt like this would be an appropriate name. Echo got her name because, when she hatched, she made a screeching sound that echoed in the lab. He found it amusing and impressive, and named her Echo because of that.
**When the main four raptors were very young, Owen would sleep with them in a big pile.**
When the raptors were close to six months of age, Echo attempted to 'challenge' Owen for dominance over the pack. She charged, but Blue stepped in after Echo attacked, saving Owen and starting a fight with Echo. Blue won, scarring Echo's face and causing her to have a permanently off-set jaw. This gave Blue the status of Beta, and simultaneously made her Owen's favorite. Because of this, Owen now has three scars in the shape of claw marks on his left side over his ribs.
Though Owen calls himself the Alpha of the raptor pack, this is only true for Blue. She respects him as her Alpha due to his treatment of her and their bond, but the other raptors see Blue as their Alpha, and mostly only obey Owen when Blue does. Delta is seen as Blue's Beta raptor.
